Dominican murdered in Trinidad. Her throat was slit, left to burn.


(Trinidad Express)THE DOMINICAN woman found in a burning house in Maracas/St Joseph, was murdered.

Someone slit Chriss Brewster’s throat before setting the house of fire.

The blaze also killed the home owner, 88-year-old Peter Felix.

The elderly man and the woman were found dead in the house by fire fighters on Monday night.

The burnt body of Felix, was found on his bed. Neighbours say he was unable to walk and confined to bed.

Brewster’s body was found with marks of violence and an autopsy on Wednesday confirmed that she was killed.

A post on the Facebook site of the University of the Southern Caribbean, School of Business mourned Brewster’s passing.

“Ms. Brewster attended USC from 2012 and graduated with our BBA Finance degree in May 2017. Our condolences go out to the family, friends and classmates of Ms. Brewster. We wish you God’s strength as we all weep in this time of sorrow”.

Brewster, 30 had been in Trinidad for at least five years.
