New Ferry service to Barbuda should make travel much quicker!



The introduction of Lady Caroline means that Antiguans and Barbudans can now commute between both islands in luxury and in less time.

Key Tourism Officials; which included Minister of Tourism and Economic Development – Hon. Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez, were on set to usher in this new service, as they received a tour of the vessel by its Capt. and owners. Hon. Minister Fernandez expressed optimism that this new service will not only encourage more passenger traffic, but strengthen the relationship between the sister isles.

The new fully air conditioned ferry has a total Capacity of 370 passengers, and is expected to travel to the sister island in less than an hour. It also has amenities such as a fully serviced bar, flat screen TV, 3 floors to include a sundeck, and wheelchair friendly rest room facilities.

Regular service commences today at a reasonable round-trip fare of e.c $200 per person. Ferry departs Antigua at 8am. and return at 6pm.
